José Luis Capó Principal |
José Luis (Joe) Capó, Principal of Capital PM Group,
is a project-management professional with over 30-years experience in capital-project management; as senior manager of major pharmaceutical and medical-device manufacturing companies, and as team leader/director of PM/CM service-provider companies.
He has extensive experience managing project teams for new manufacturing start-ups, retrofits and product transfers between the U.S. mainland and Puerto Rico, applying c-GMP to project execution; developing turnover/commissioning documentation; and providing support to facilities, equipment and systems validation.
Specialty areas of expertise include project development, conceptual and definitive-cost estimating, design management, equipment and services sourcing, CPM scheduling, cost control and contract administration, construction management, and coordination of equipment installations for utilities, facilities and manufacturing operations.
During his professional career, José Luis developed recognized expertise in project management theory and methods, including computerized costing, CPM scheduling and document control, using tools such as PRIMAVERA P3®, SURETRACK®, MS-PROJECT®, CONSTRUCTWARE®.
Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO, Mayagüez, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree; Industrial Management Major, Finance Minor from INTER-AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, Rio Piedras, PR. He is a Real Estate Appraiser and Real Estate Broker in Puerto Rico and holds a real-estate license in Florida.
Jose Luis is active in many business, professional and community-service organizations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Mainland.
He and his wife maintain homes in Puerto Rico and Florida.
